We made it!
A little over 9 hours later and we made it to Somersville, Mass! It's about 15 minutes from the hospital. We get a discount since I am a patient and there is a shuttle that my parents will be able to take back and forth to the hospital and hotel. This will be nice for my parents as they wont have to worry about driving through Boston and parking. We just had dinner across the street and now are back getting settled in our room. When we were checking in I received a phone call from someone at the hospital. I guess they have not received the authorization for all my pre-op test tomorrow (this is separate from the authorization for my surgery and inpatient stay). I will be up early trying to get the ball rolling, though there is not much I can do except to get the Doctor's office to call Tricare and request authorization. If it's not processed and approved then we will be billed for all the tests (C.T. scans, blood work, breathing tests, and others I am not familiar with). Hopefully that can get sorted out, I am trying not to stress about that because it is out of my hands. I am doing great though, I am truly feeling covered in prayers! My nerves are calm and my stress is low. I really just want to get this over with. The support and responses from you all is part of my fuel to keep me going! I was so overwhelmed when I left school yesterday with all the farewell wishes/gifts! Then when I got home I had a house full of family and friends wishing me luck and praying for me. I am so blessed for all of you and thank you so much for all that you have done for my family and I!
Love always,
Lauren James 1:2 - "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance."

ReplyDeleteWe love you and are thinking of you at this very moment and each minute to come, as you are progressing through this procedure. Our prayers are for you, your Mom & Dad, and the skilled doctors who are with you at this hour. Anxious for your updates :O) Sending hugs, love, and smiles-

Lauren,
ReplyDeleteI have been continuing to pray for you. When I told Angel about this next surgery she said, "My little Lauren, I can't believe that little girl I use to baby sit has to go through all of this." Daniel (Andy's friend that was on the hockey trip with him and stayed at your house) saw your Christmas picture and said, "I know these people." I told him and Andy about the surgery too and they are also praying for you. God has been taking good care of you. I have all confidence that you will come through amazingly with His arms wrapped around you. Tell mom and dad we are holding them up in prayer too.
Love, Kathy
